Trip to UGANDA – July – August 2019 (coinciding with the start of the UK school holidays)

This summer we’ll be visiting our friends in Uganda – & we have some partners who’d love to work with you

This trip is up 2-weeks. We’ll begin by running a teacher-training conference in Ntinda, Kampala, working with schools where we currently have 15 sponsored children. We’ll be using our time and skills to work with local teachers in link schools in order to help implement some of the training.

Following the conference, we’ll then work alongside Ugandan colleagues to support them in their schools and help implement training from the conference.

And just for fun, we’ll arrange trips to the source of the Nile, some waterfalls and some traditional dancing.

WHO WE NEED If you’re a primary or secondary school teacher, have experience with special needs, or are a medical/allied health professional (including occupational therapsists), or if you have skills and experience in the areas of school leadership and business development/micro-finance, please register your interest below. We also need people with an abundance of compassion and of experience working with children who are deaf and have special needs, and who can work alongside the teachers to develop an accessible and exciting curriculum. Any people working in therapy, or with SEN experience, would also be most welcome for this trip!

THE DETAILS An orientation meeting – a chance to meet with other members of the team and find out more about the trip will take place around Easter time (watch this space for more information!); you’ve got to be there to be on the trip! The cost is £999 plus your flights, visas and vaccinations.
